Cup of Kindness: Marshmallows, Hot Chocolate, and Kind Words
Some mornings, the best way to start the day is with something warm and something kind. Lately, we have been feeling especially grateful for how thoughtful our students are, and a recent classroom project was too sweet not to share.
A simple project with a big message
Students made a cup of hot chocolate and topped it with marshmallows. On each marshmallow, they wrote a statement of kindness. Every cup became a little collection of encouragement, compliments, and caring reminders.
It was a wonderful way to practice positive language and to notice the good in others. Seeing the finished cups lined up together made it clear just how much kindness our students carry with them every day.
Why we loved it
- It gave students a creative way to express kindness.
- It reinforced how powerful words can be.
- It reminded all of us that small gestures can make a big impact.
We are always proud to share the ways our students show kindness, and this project was a perfect example. If you are looking for an easy activity that combines creativity and character building, a “cup of kindness” might be a great place to start.
